CircleBIM receives additional funding from the Interreg North Sea Programme to expand its activities in Norway. The new pilot, led by Møre og Romsdal County Council, will apply CircleBIM’s BIM-based circular construction strategies in a regional Norwegian context.
The CircleBIM partnership is growing! We are pleased to announce that Møre og Romsdal County Council has joined the CircleBIM project with support from extra Norwegian funding under Call 5 of the Interreg North Sea Programme.
This new pilot will focus on future-oriented and circular construction through Building Information Management (BIM), applying and testing CircleBIM’s digital tools and templates in real regional projects across Møre og Romsdal.
By strengthening Norwegian participation, CircleBIM enhances its transnational collaboration across the North Sea region, connecting research, policy, and practice in circular building innovation.
The pilot aims to:
- Demonstrate how digital and BIM-based methods can support circular and resource-efficient construction.
- Adapt CircleBIM templates and workflows to local Norwegian conditions.
- Promote knowledge exchange between regional authorities, research institutions, and industry.
“We are very excited to welcome Møre og Romsdal County Council as an active pilot partner. Their expertise in sustainable regional development will help bring CircleBIM’s ideas into action,” says the CircleBIM coordination team.
The announcement was made as part of Interreg North Sea’s Call 5, which provided additional funding to twelve ongoing projects to strengthen Norwegian involvement.
