This year, the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Lumbres (CCPL) has launched a new initiative that’s hitting the road—literally and figuratively. Each month, the sustainable and inclusive mobility department visits one of the territory’s 12 media libraries to engage with residents around the theme of mobility.

Through books, games, and open conversations, these events are designed to spark discussion about mobility challenges and explore local solutions. Whether it’s children discovering how transportation impacts the environment through interactive play, or adults sharing their daily travel routines, each session offers a space for meaningful exchange.

The event also serves a practical purpose: gathering valuable input from the community on their mobility needs and habits. By meeting people where they are—in welcoming, familiar spaces—CCPL is encouraging everyone to take part in shaping the future of mobility in the region.

These monthly gatherings are part of a year-long program led by CCPL to promote sustainable and inclusive mobility across the region—ensuring that everyone, regardless of age or ability, can be part of a more connected and eco-friendly future.
