Our Pilots

In CLOSECYCLE, now 20 showcases aim to demonstrate best practices and innovative solutions for the valorisation of residue-based bioresources from rural and urban areas to produce multiple products for the use within the region. The different showcase examples are assigned to 7 themes: Apple Chain, Nature Conservation, Greenhouses, Treecultivation, Municipality and farms, biorefinery modules and Food Crops. We also show how Territorial Biorefinery Networks (TBN) can be initiated by bringing together regional stakeholders in order to use the regional potentials efficiently and synergetic to close cycles on the example of several pilot regions in the CLOSECYCLE countries. The showcases are key elements of the Territorial Biorefinery Networks.
