Green Retail - making retail stores more circular & sustainable through innovative methods, value chains and consumer behavior

Project description

The aim of the project is the retail industry to buy, sell and collaborate in a more green and circular way - and to nudge their customers so that it becomes easy to make green choices. To achieve this, the project works with new business models and value chains within the retail stores as well as with consumer behavior.

Based on in depth knowledge and results on circular economy from the Reflow project as well as concrete experiences working with retail stores and sustainability in project CRETHINK, this project will further develop methods on circular economy & value chain collaboration as well as business development for a wider target group within the retail industry. Both former projects has shown a great demand and potential for concrete and hands-on efforts within this industry – and need for help to enhance the efforts.

Furthermore, retail has a unique position between being a business on the one hand and being in direct contact with consumers on the other. We want to explore this innovative potential of the retail stores, how they can actively take part in promoting circular economy and sustainable development in society.
