Reduce, reuse, refurbish, recycle: The race is on to make better use of resources and minimise waste, for the sake of the planet as well as regional competitiveness. Done right, the growing bioeconomy can be part of this ambition.

However, putting a circular economy in place does not happen overnight. Each sector has its own challenges, and going circular requires people to think and act differently.

Interreg North Sea projects are driving the transition along, supporting the goals set out in the European Circular Economy Action Plan and Bioeconomy Strategy.
