SENSOR DRIVEN INNOVATIONS IN CARE LOGISTICS

Project description

Just like other sectors, the healthcare sector is undergoing a digital transformation. This project aims to raise awareness among healthcare companies and to reduce barriers to implementation regarding the use of sensor-driven innovations to optimize their (internal) logistic processes. The use of sensors in the context of track&trace, for example, allows for better localization and use of materials (such as machines) which, in addition to savings on purchasing and maintenance, also allows for better employability (planning) of the workforce, resulting in a reduction of work pressure. Furthermore, the addition of an umbrella application layer, whereby the generated data can be translated into actionable reports help to improve processes and procedures. The project aims to share knowledge about existing and future use cases across the participating regions and organizations, as well as organizing awareness-raising events where, in addition to market-ready (TRL 8-9) innovative technologies, possible future game changing innovations (TRL 4-6) will be applied in near-live conditions (pilots) and showcased to the public.
