Global warming affects everyone, disrupts many people's lives, and carries increasing cost. In the past five years, Europe has been 2.2 degrees warmer than it was at the end of the 19th century.

The damage can be kept in check by taking stock of the risks and learning to prevent and handle them. The sooner the better: Delayed action could increase the annual cost of climate damage to more than €840 billion.

Our projects underpin EU climate adaptation policy by helping regions build their climate preparedness through cost-effective solutions, often with added (social) benefits. Prominent aspects include resilience-by-design, smart climate adaptive systems, and nature-based solutions.
