On 12 June, more than 50 people from 32 projects gathered in Copenhagen to create a road map towards enduring impact.

During the event, we presented our projects to a working concept for steering their projects towards impact.

A road map to success

Using the North Star as a metaphor, the projects explored their journey to achieving durability and wide uptake of their work. This is no easy task; however, with the right strategy in place, projects can make it happen.

The workshop used a seven-part concept addressing this challenge, from defining future impacts to motivating 'takers' to reuse the projects' work.

Many journeys begin

The room was buzzing with talk as participants worked through exercises and shared their thoughts in smaller working groups.

Throughout the workshop, participants used a workbook to sketch ideas and plans. Many journeys set sail on this day!

One session focused solely on how to bring all partners on board the projects' journey. Many participants said they were looking forward to sharing and building on this work within their partnership.

What next?

The evaluations show that participants appreciated the workshop very much and are keen to move on with their journeys.

We are now planning a webinar in the latter half of 2023 for workshop participants and other projects approved in calls 1 and 2. More information will follow in due course. We are also planning a second TakeUP event in the first quarter of 2024, for projects approved in Call 3.

We are very happy to have such enthusiastic projects on board and we are excited to follow their progress towards their North Star. We have no doubt that they can get there, and we will stand by and support them to the best of our capacity.
